Catalog Management
|
|
PrintChef's catalog system
allows you to specify folders that contain printing styles with "hot
button" definitions. A PrintChef hot button printing style can appear on the print-time
dialog as a simple push-button printing style. This makes it very easy to
select from commonly used printing styles.
The cataloged folders are great for categorizing printing styles (e.g. a
folder full of watermarks). These folders appear in a popup menu in the
print-time dialog, so you can select any category of printing style easily.

How Catalogs & "Hot Buttons" work
|
|
- PrintChef catalogs are folders
containing special printing styles.
- Each special printing style has a snapshot
image, and a "hot button" name. The name appears in the
Catalog Organization dialog.
- You can open catalogs to see the
available hot buttons, and then check which ones you want to appear at
print-time
- You can also order the hot buttons so
that they will appear the way you want them on the print dialog.

A Chosen Catalog Shown at Print-Time
|
|
- The catalog's chosen printing styles
appear as "hot buttons" on the print-time dialog's
"Styles" tab.
- Clicking a hot button, selects the
features of that printing style for the next print.
- A snapshot of the selected printing style shows
on the dialog.
- The printing style's description appears
to help you choose the correct printing style at print-time.
